Support Series: Grief to Grace
When a loved one dies, we experience grief. It is not something we choose. Yet it is a part of life. It can be confusing, painful, full of conflicting emotions, and lonely.
We offer a safe, confidential space where grief can be processed, experiences shared, community fostered, and isolation reduced.
When: Monday evenings for 8 sessions (Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 17, Nov 24, Dec 1, Dec 8)
Time: 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: Weird Church Cumberland
Who: Anyone experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one. This confidential group will be limited to 12 participants - please register below.
What: Grief brings up an array of emotions that can be overwhelming, confusing, uncomfortable and unexpected. Together we will hold space for the unruly beast we call grief, understanding one another in ways that only other grieving folks can.
How: Each week we will explore and learn about the many facets of grief as we make space and honour the experience of each participant.
Included will be various artistic activities, designed as a way to express those feelings, thoughts and life experiences that are difficult to verbalize. Much of our work will be based on the researched findings of Dr.Alan Wolfelt.
Cost: $145 (Fee is for books and art supplies)
*Fees must be paid by Oct 16th. Upon submission of the registration form you will be given instructions for payment via e-transfer.
Class size: 12
Facilitators:

Bring that collection that's been hiding away and create a unique "net painting' to catch the memories in an assemblage. The sample here is made of bits and bobs from drawers cleaned out of the family beach cabin, a piece of net found on the beach and few added treasures. The picture is a photocopy of a photograph taken in the 1970's.
