Jim Morris
1943-2014.
​Born in Yellowknife, NWT, Jim began his art career with camera, pencil and paper recording everyday life in the Arctic. An avid naturalist his subjects are often wildlife. His other passion was social justice and a deep interest in aboriginal culture which are reflected in much of his work.
After a career in teaching art he resurrected an older graphic design/silkscreen printing business in Courtenay. Often he ran prints for other artists as well as his own designs.
His work has been exhibited throughout British Columbia. The Silver Bowerbird Gallery celebrates his life's work with rotating shows. Prices range from $85 & up
